"My name is Niam Tsim Meej Vaj (Becky Vang) and AW Director of Owasso Hmong Alliance Church in Owasso, OK. I wanted to share a few events our Alliance Women has done so far this year!

1. To engage every fully devoted Christ follower of all generations in effective fervent prayer.
Prayers Sisters: We divided all women (18 years and older) into small groups under 7 of the Cabinet leaders. We feature each of our Owasso Hmong Alliance Sisters everyday during the week on our Owasso Hmong Alliance Church facebook page. Our sisters share facts such as who they are, children/grandchildren, occupation, hobbies, favorite bible verse, and prayer requests.

For our Kickoff event, we sat in our small groups by colored table and made prayers journals for the year.

Our Prayer Coordinator (N. Lis Pov Xyooj) leading us in Prayer session. We rotate 4th Sundays between our prayer, fellowship, and outreach/missions coordinators. We broke off into pairs and shared prayer requests (written into our prayer journals).

2. To encourage Christ followers to seek an intimate relationship with Him through spiritual formation.
Our Discipleship Coordinator (N. Moov Zoo Yaj) leading us through The Attributes of God by A.W. Pink. She teaches us every 3rd Sunday of the month.

3. To reach people by demonstrating God's love and proclaiming His Word.
Outreach project: Our first outreach event of the year was at the Community Food Bank of Eastern Tulsa. We helped label, sort, and box 8,816 cans of food for distribution. Our youth girls also joined us for this event! "
