Rev. Dr. Lantzia (Kx. Tswv Txos) Thao
Hmong District Superintendent
Dr. Lantzia C. Thao (Kx. Tswv Txos Thoj) was born in Laos and lived in Thailand for four years before coming to Morganton, NC toward the end of 1979 where he went and graduated from Freedom High School. He then continued his educations and graduated from Toccoa Falls College with a BA in Bible & Theology with a concentration in Counseling in 1987, Denver Seminary with a Master Of Divinity in 1990, and Bethel Seminary with a Doctor of Ministry in 2000.
He met and married his lovely and beautiful wife, Omee Chang, in 1989. The Thaos have two handsome boys, Timothy and Daniel, and two beautiful daughters, Priscilla and Christina plus a brand new daughter-in-law, Angely Vang. All of their children and the daughter-in-law were TFC graduates or attendee. After Denver Seminary, the Thao went to pastor three of our Hmong churches including St. Paul Hmong Alliance Church, Leola Hmong Alliance Church, and Twin Cities Hmong Alliance Church. He served as the Director of Church Ministries at the Hmong District for twelve years. Dr. Thao is the current District Superintendent of the Hmong District in his first year term.
Rev. Tom ( Kx. Tswv Hlau) Yang
DEXCOM, Corporate Secretary/Twin Cities Hmong Alliance Church, MN
Rev. Tom Tswv Hlau Yang is currently serving as senior pastor for Twin Cities Alliance church in the Twin Cites metro. He is also serving as corporate secretary for Hmong District DEXCOM.
He is passionate to serve the church and raise up new leaders. He and his wife, Youa, have two children, GaoNa and Nathanael, and two granddaughter, Madelyn and Amelia.
Rev. Cher (Kx. Txhaj Cawv) Moua
CRU, Immingrant, International, Refugee
Rev. Cher (Txhaj Cawv) Moua came to the United States in 1979 and settled in Pittsburg, PA. He received Jesus as his Lord and Savior through the ministry of Allegheny Center Alliance Church in 1980. He has been married to his wife Mai Yia for 42 years and together they have 5 biological children, five covenanted children from 3 different cultures with 18 grandchildren.
He received his BS in Bible/Theology from Toccoa Falls College and served as pastor at Twin Cities Hmong Alliance from 1994-1997. He served as a radio broadcaster for Suab Moob Ntseeg Yexus, KTIS AM 900, St. Paul, MN from 2000-2008. From 2005-2016 he also served as the Director for Asian Ministries of the Union Gospel Mission Twin Cities, MN. He has served from 2017-2022 with Campus Crusade for Christ in the capacity of leadership development and ministry partner mobilizer. Currently he serves as part of the national leadership team with CRU Immigrant, International, and Refugee (IIR).
Rev. Nhia (Kx. Txawj Yag) Moua
Sr. Pastor, Alliance Church of Merced, CA
Kx. Txawjyag has been married to his wife, Linda for 16 years. They have four girls; Sophia, Hannah, Ava, and Samantha. He enjoys spending time with the his family and eating food. He is passionate about knowing God and making Him known. His desire is to see people become who God has called them to be. He is currently serving as the Sr. Pastor at Alliance Church of Merced, California.
Rev. Xiong (Kx. Nom Xyooj) Her
DEXCOM Member/Sr. Pastor, Denver Hmong Alliance Church, CO
Rev. Nao Xiong Her is the senior pastor at Denver Hmong Alliance Church. He has been in the minstry for 32 years with Hmong District. He is married to Bao Her, father of two married children, and a pround grandfather of three grandchildren.
Rev. Her holds his degrees from Toccoa Falls College in Toccoa, Georgia and Multnomah Biblical Seminary in Portland, Oregon. In his free time, you can find him fishing, spending time with grandchildren, traveling and biking.
Pastor Rick (Xh. Ntshiab Lis) Xiong
Lead Pastor, Grace Mobile Church, CA
Rick Ntshiablis Xiong is the Pastor and Church Planter for Grace Mobile Church of the C&MA in Fresno, California. Previously served as the Senior Pastor at Hmong Baptist Church of the Southern Baptist from 2014-2019.
He is the youngest child and only one who came to Christ. He and his wife have been married for 34 years. They have 1 daughter and 3 sons. He has led many people to Christ including this own mother. He is most passion about bringing the lost to Christ, teach them to build their relationship with Christ, and live out the Word of God. His goal is to mobilize God’s grace given to him to the community and to the world.
Rev. Dr. Shahlanhg (Kx. Ntxoov Laaj) Herr
Church Ministry Director, Hmong District
Dr. Shahlahng Herr has been in the Ministry for 24 years. He is currently serving as the Hmong District’s Director of Church Ministry. He has a passion for biblical preaching and teaching. His passion is to assist the churches in becoming biblical both in preaching and doing.
He has a BA and a MA from Crown College, one in World Mission and the other in Church Leadership. He completed his Dmin at Anderson University with a concentration on Biblical Preaching.
He lives with his wife, Zoua Anne Herr and their daughter Maddie in Thornton, CO where he serves as the Director of Church Ministry at the Hmong District. When he is not working, he loves snowboarding and cruising on his Honda motorcycle.
Rev. Toua (Kx. Xeev Tuam) Thao
NextGen Director, Hmong District
Toua Thao is the Director of Next Generation Ministries at the Hmong District of the Christian & Missionary Alliance. He and his wife, Susan, are the proud parents of two sons, Ezekiel & Israel, and a daughter, Shiloh.
Pastor Toua holds a Master of Divinity from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in Deerfield, Illinois. He is passionate about Jesus, the church, and the gospel reaching the ends of the earth. Pastor Toua and his wife consider the honor of serving the Lord a privilege second to none.
Rev. Dr. Ted Kang
Corporate Vice President National Office, C&MA/San Jose Christian Alliance Church, CA
Ted is the lead pastor of San Jose Christian Alliance Church, a vibrant multicultural congregation in the heart of Silicon Valley. Ted studied at McGill University in Canada pursuing his dream to become a doctor. During his senior year, he had an encounter with God that changed his life forever. After graduating, he joined Youth With A Mission, traveling and proclaiming the gospel around the world for the next 3 years. He went onto receive his M.Div from Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary in Boston, MA, where he also met and married his wife Sandy.
Ted and Sandy joined San Jose Christian Alliance Church in March of 2002 as missionary candidates hoping to go to China after couple years of internship. But, God had a different plan for their lives, and called them to pastor the same church for the past 22 years. God blessed them with four lovely daughters: Abigail, Isabel, Rachel and Bethel. Ted is a passionate outdoor junkie. If you are not afraid of sleeping in the wilderness with bears and mountain lions, don't hesitate to ask him to take you on one of his wild camping, fishing or rafting adventures.
